I'm so f-n tired of the Internet It has become the worst place
Today, my 3-year-old Reddit account has been banned for no reason. They deleted all my posts and comments as well. Yesterday, the website I invested years of my time in SEO into was nuked by Google and lost its position overnight due to new anti-spam policies that rolled in. A month ago, on another project, I missed an email from a payment processing provider and lost payments and all revenue, only because Gmail put the most important email in spam. Nothing works well in this fucking shthle. I'm sick of that.
The internet is s disappointing shit hole for me as well but that has more to do with algorithms, echo chambers, and attention theater. I get your point though.
The hard part is that there is essentially no such thing as customer service "at scale" not that any company actualy wants to invest in it. Still the internet could have dramatically improved customer service but instead it killed it.
In the near future when I want customer service to address an issue, I'll have my AI agent contact their AI agent and their agent can tell my agent to eat shit. End result will be the same though no such thing as customer service will exist.
https://github.com/Tryhard-cs/reddit-download-tool might be able to help if you are looking to have a copy of your Reddit posts and comments data. I also recommend Fastmail instead of Google for email. The enshittification is unfortunate.
Decouple where ever you can from suboptimal systems and vote with your feet, migrating to more optimal services and systems.
